HARVEST
Cultural Village will collect the results of 12 years of experience with Cultural Village.
Here you will find all the steps that will lead to the conclusions that will be presented in 2010, the year that all villages were Cultural Village of Europe.
In May 2007 the mayors and representatives met in Palkonya in Hungary and evaluated for the first time at a round table conference eight years of Cultural Village. A document has been made of this event.
On the Europe for Citizens Forum of the EU on the 14th of November 2008 in Brussels Bert Kisjes had a contribution "Villages discover Europe" where he gives a short explanation about what can be expected from the villages.
On the 7th of January 2009 active people in the organization of Wijk aan Zee made their contribution to the harvest.
Seniors
Seniors from the twelve villages has been asked to give their ideas about how to live in an ever changing world. Groups of seniors will be formed and they will exchange their ideas on international meetings. The first meeting will be in Wijk aan Zee: elderly from Killingi-Nõmme (EST) and Wijk aan Zee (NL) on the 8th – 10th of June 2009.
Young people
A working group of young people will bring together the ideas of young people who attended one of the youth camps since 2000. They will use the Youth camp in Tommerup and the meeting of young people in Mellionnec in July for harvesting-activities.
Local economy
On the 6th of March 2009 has been organized a conference for entrepreneurs. in Wijk aan Zee
On the 28th/29th in Schachdorf Ströbeck will be organized a ‘Leitbild Studien’ conference. There they are going to try to engage a lot of villagers for the Local Agenda.
